Student Sign-Out Procedure for 26-27

Posted Date: 08/12/26 (02:43 PM)

Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Pilot Point High School, safety and security are always at the forefront of the decisions we make for our students. To support a safe and consistent process for early dismissals/students leaving campus, we will continue to implement our procedure for situations in which a parent or guardian cannot come to campus in person. We have updated the email to use from our last Sign-out procedure that was communicated on 11/10/25.
If you need your student to be signed out remotely, please email the front office at PPHSDismissal@pilotpointisd.org at least two hours before your student needs to leave campus and include:

  1. A current photo ID of the parent/guardian making the request
  2. Student ID and name of the student signing out.
  3. The reason for the student’s early sign-out
This procedure aligns with the Pilot Point ISD Student Handbook (page 89, Section: Leaving Campus – All Grade Levels), which states that if a "parent authorizes a student to leave campus unaccompanied, a note must be submitted to the main office at least two hours before the student needs to leave. While a phone call may be accepted, the school may still require written documentation. All students must sign out through the main office, and if returning on the same day, must sign back in."

Thank you for your partnership in maintaining a secure and orderly environment for all students. If you have any questions about this process, please contact our front office.

 Sincerely,

 Eliseo Moreno
